Pakistan name five uncapped players for Test tour of England

SQUAD: Sarfraz Ahmed (capt), Azhar Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Sami Aslam, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Usman Salahuddin, Saad Ali, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, M Abbas.

Pakistan have named their Test squad to tour Ireland and England, which includes five uncapped players, one being the nephew of former captain and current chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, First Cricket report.

While Imam has been given a chance in the longest format of the game after his blistering century on his ODI debut against Sri Lanka late previous year, Ashraf has been included in Test squad on the back of some impressive performances in the shorter formats of the game.

Ali has been in stellar form in Pakistan's first-class circuit, having scored 3,473 runs in 50 games at an impressive 46.93. Attempting to make up for his absence will be Shadab Khan, who has played a solitary Test, against the Windies past year. His highest score of 232 came earlier this season.

Pakistan suffered a big blow when leg-spinner Yasir Shah was ruled out due to injury with 19-year-old Shadab Khan, who has only played in one Test, expected to carry the slow-bowling burden.

India to have 'normal' Monsoon this year, says IMD
If the forecast comes true, it will augur well for the country's economy, as it will be the third successive normal monsoon year. According to a private weather forecasting agency the southwest monsoon is likely to be normal this year.

"Yasir's absence is a big loss for us", Haq said. He was our strike bowler, all the games we've won he played a big part in.

Meanwhile, there was no place in the side for left-arm seamer Wahab Riaz, who was heavily criticised by head coach Mickey Arthur.

Ever since Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad that will be traveling to England and Ireland, the Pakistani loyalists are demanding justice.

Ireland play their inaugural Test against Pakistan from May 11-15 before they take on England in tests at Lord's (May 24-28) and Headingley (June 1-5).
