Shenmue 1 and 2 Announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

The biggest dream of every DreamCast fan has come true. The most interesting, yet long anticipated, was a PC, PS4 and Xbox One Shenmue remaster.

Sega has announced that cult Dreamcast classics Shenmue and Shenmue II will be heading to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One later this year.

Sega itself is not making a distinction either way in its somewhat sparse "Shenmue" website.

The Shenmue collection releasing for modern consoles and PCs features the option to fully change the resolution and the controller type from classic to modern, ensuring that players both old and new can enjoy the legendary series as they wait for the release ofShenmue III. The official announcement trailer is not enough to base on, either, since Sega noted at the start that "This trailer uses pre-release footage, and represents a work in progress". And while they will boast some improvements, these are not full on HD remakes or remasters.
