Eminem Pauses During Coachella Set to Respond to Mean Tweets

And the 45-year-old rapper even acknowledged as much on Sunday when he headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, making light of his elder statesman status during a so-so comedy bit that included a "mean tweet" a la Jimmy Kimmel that posed the question, "Remember when Em was really dope?"

When Eminem was announced as the headliner for day 3 of Coachella, there were concerns the self-proclaimed "Rap God" would only focus on playing his less popular newer material, but last night, fans were treated to one of his finest performances ever.

He performed for almost 100,000 people on Sunday night, bringing out special guests Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Bebe Rexha, and Skylar Grey.

Unlike yesterday, Sunday at Coachella has seen a lot of EDM act performing on the various stage of the festival. "Mentor Dr Dre came on stage to perform "Still D.R.E.' as well as Snoop Dogg's classic, "Nothin" but a G Thang, a cover Tupac's 'California Love" and an outing of 'Forgot About Dre".

Meanwhile, Eminem touched on his past personal troubles as he dedicated the song Not Afraid to those battling addiction. "No one's been paying attention to you since 2003", read one. "Would you capture it or just let it slip?" he asks.
