Manchester City's title win in numbers

Manchester City's title win in numbers

City displayed a strong mentality to bounce back from three consecutive defeats and beat Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday night, as they outclassed Mauricio Pochettino's side in every way.

They have the manager, the players, the owners, everything they need to become one of the Premier League's greatest teams.

Manchester United struggled to cut through Albion's compact defence and when they did found an equal in former goalkeeper Ben Foster, who blocked from Romelu Lukaku at point-blank range and kept out Alexis Sanchez's follow-up with his legs.

"You can not imagine", Guardiola said on Saturday before the title race was decided.

Mourinho branded his players "masters in complication" in the aftermath of their defeat to the Baggies.

In the press conference before United's league game against West Brom, the Portuguese simply said there was nothing he could do about the current situation.

Ravens Interested in Dez Bryant
Outside of the NFC East, a look at the rest of Dallas' schedule could point to potential landing spots for Bryant. But he may have found a suitor in the AFC.

Mourinho acknowledged that "City were the best team" in the Premier League, telling the BBC: "Sooner or later they would get the points, so no dramas when the best team wins the league".

They clinched the silverware 24 hours later thanks to Albion forward Jay Rodriguez's 73rd minute header at Old Trafford.

"Probably because I won eight championships I was not on the moon with the victory against them because that doesn't make me feel super-happy".

Manchester United have now won five Premier League games in a row. I have seen many teams win it as champions for the whole season, and it's the first case for us. Everything was complicated. We couldn't think fast, we couldn't play fast.

"Ask them... [why Man Utd's stars couldn't build on last weeks win against City]". It's disappointing, even more after the win last week, but this is football. People may say they bought the title but plenty of teams have spent significant funds. "A bad day and a bad result", Mata said. Slowly but surely I'm getting the numbers up and keep going, and building next year.

Victory for West Brom came in just the second game for caretaker boss Darren Moore and the 43-year-old believes restoring a sense of togetherness is the key to ending a torrid season on a high.
