OnePlus 5 and 5T to Get OxygenOS 5.1.0 Update

OxygenOS 5.1.0 is the stable build of the firmware earlier in the beta testing and brings a host of new features such as updated system settings, tweaks to the Gaming mode and improvements to the Launcher.

The company has started rolling out Android 8.1 to OnePlus 5 and 5T, the update also includes Android's latest April security patch as well.

The gestures are akin to the iPhone X's, though they are not available for the OnePlus 5. In addition to installing Oreo 8.1, the update also brings this month's Android security patch and adds full-screen gestures to OnePlus 5T.

It should be visible right away on your OnePlus 5T or OnePlus 5.

The OTA update will begin rolling out today.

Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus rolled out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for OnePlus 5 last year in December, and then in late January this year, the company rolled out the 8.0 Oreo update for OnePlus 5T as well.

Among the other small changes that are going to come with this update we can name the fact that it will try to stabilize the gaming mode, a mode that would often pause the adaptive brightness option and also the saving power one. The folders are automatically named based on category.
