Xiaomi Mi 6X to Come in Five Different Colors

Xiaomi Mi 6X to Come in Five Different Colors

But a new rumour of a different smartphone has surfaced.

As MIX Xiaomi Mi 2S, Mi-7 will get a double rear camera configuration.

A XDA Developers report has revealed the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi S2 based on firmware files obtained by Funky Huawei of FunkyHuawei.club. Notably, the phone will also feature portrait mode and face unlock too. While this smartphone may later arrive in India with the moniker Mi A2, another new smartphone - Redmi S2 - might make its way into the market soon.

The Redmi S2 will be exclusive to China and India only, and the device might launch in India first before heading to its home market in China. Some of the users have successfully flashed the file on their device and reported the firmware to be stable as denoted. The three together could spell out an efficient system to ensure long battery life, especially since the OS tries to conserve power in various ways such as limiting background processes. Xiaomi has used SD 625 on several of their midrange devices, and it is known for striking a balance between performance and efficiency. This means, the Mi 6X may also be a bezel-less phone, and since the Mi 5X packed in dual rear cameras something similar is expected from its successor as well. On the front, there will be a lone 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor. For selfies, the Redmi S2 comes with a single 5MP sensor from Samsung. We have seen this same chipset in the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 5 smartphones priced under Rs. 10,000. The device may also come with other storage options such as 32GB and 64GB. Looking at the specification set, it is likely to have 3GB or 4GB RAM variants.

As far as the specifications of Redmi Note 5 are concerned it features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a colour contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 450-nits brightness.

Lastly, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 will have a respectable 3,080mAh battery.

Xiaomi Malaysia has just announced that the Redmi 5 will be available in Malaysia starting 24 April 2018.
