JLR India starts Model Year 2018 Range Rover & Range Rover Sport bookings

JLR India starts Model Year 2018 Range Rover & Range Rover Sport bookings

Last week the company - which has about 40,000 staff - attributed the move to "continuing headwinds impacting the auto industry", though insiders hinted Government policy towards diesel was the main driver. Jaguar sales have reduced by 26 per cent while Land Rover sales are down by 20 per cent in the past ear in the wake of diesel concerns.

Rohit Suri, president & managing director, Jaguar Land Rover India, (JLRIL), said: "The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport have always offered best-in-class comfort, technologies, refinement and driving pleasure". United Kingdom industry sales, meanwhile, were down 15.7% in March and 12.4% in the quarter, more than could be explained by lower diesel sales - although March 2017 was an all-time industry record due to a sales rush before the introduction of higher vehicle taxes in April.

Meanwhile, 362 permanent staff will be transferred from another West Midlands site, at Castle Bromwich, to Solihull. A spokesperson confirmed with Reuters that, "we are not renewing the contracts of 1,000 agency workers at Solihull".

British new vehicle registrations have been dropping for a year which the auto industry body has partly blamed on declining consumer confidence following the Brexit vote, after record demand in 2015 and 2016. Complex talks are now moving on to future relations - after an agreement was reached on a 21-month "transition" period to smooth the way to post-Brexit relations.

Some of the users have successfully flashed the file on their device and reported the firmware to be stable as denoted. Xiaomi Malaysia has just announced that the Redmi 5 will be available in Malaysia starting 24 April 2018.

JLR has still not released the exact number of jobs it plans to lay off but did mention that it will be making changes to the production output.

On NSE, the stock opened at Rs 350.80, then fell to an intra-day low of Rs 340.70, down 4.57 per cent over its last close.

"JLR has just revealed its full-electric i-Pace model and has indicated offering all-electric or hybrid variants of all their models by around 2021, but they have been far too slow compared with Tesla and BMW", Bailey was quoted as saying by the BBC.
