Rohit helps Mumbai get off the mark in style

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap by becoming the leading run scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League. Kohli, now the orange-cap holder, required 49 runs to achieve the milestone before the game started.

The only saving grace was Captain Virat Kohli who waged a lone battle with an unbeaten 92 and did not allow the match to fold up in 15 overs or so.

New Zealand seamer Mitchell McClenaghan (2-24) took the steam out of Bangalore's chase when he removed South Africans Quinton de Kock (19) and AB de Villiers (1) in one over. In a questionable decision, MI sent Krunal Pandya ahead of big-hitters Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya, but the latter didn't miss out on providing the final flourish with a quick-fire 17 (5b, 2x6, 1x4) which ensured that the hosts finished at an imposing 213 for six. Krunal dismissed Mandeep and Corey Anderson (0) to push the visitors firmly on the back foot at 75 for four.

Mumbai's Ranji captain Aditya Tare came on as the replacement for the injured Kishan and contributed immediately by stumping RCB batsman Sarfaraz Khan off Mayank Markande.

With his last knock, Kohli reached a unique milestone as the first player to score 5000 T20 runs for a single team.

IRS electronic filing system breaks down hours before tax deadline
The White House said on Tuesday that Trump, because of the complexity of his tax returns, would file his by October 15. Kautter said the agency discovered the outage in the early morning hours, sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Bumrah then picked up the wicket of Woakes and Umesh Yadav in one over to further peg back the away side.

However, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and Kohli had no support from the other end to chase the target.

Opener Evin Lewis too got runs, scoring 65 off 42 balls. They then lost Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan to the first two balls of the match, courtesy an on-fire Umesh Yadav. "Lewis is very hard to bowl at once he gets in".

Rohit smashed 10 fours and five sixes while Lewis counted six fours and also five sixes, to extend his decent form in the tournament. Like Mumbai, even Bangalore had lost two wickets in an over. But the gloom at Wankhede soon vanished with Lewis and Rohit putting up a 108-run stand for the third wicket to rebuild the innings.

Anushka Sharma is watching the match from her vanity man and obviously, she is rooting for him.
