Epic Games also addressed weapon swapping, something that every "Fortnite" player talks about.

The meteor or comet is clearly visible when jumping into the map on the Fortnite app.

"Fortnite: Battle Royale" public relations manager Nick Chester debunked the rumors, taking to Twitter to write that it is "the silliest thing I've ever read". With season four approaching soon, some fans believe that it would be the ideal time to make a radical change to the game world doing just that.

Currently, there's no definitive answer from Epic Games as to when or even if the comet or meteorite-type object will impact the game's map.

Players now have to pay if they want to play the PVE mode, but Epic Games has said in the past that it aims to make the game free-to-play in 2018.

PSB: There have been lots of big updates to Fortnite since launch, with more anticipated ones on the way.

Data miners have already uncovered a few interesting stats about the Light Machine Gun.

Greens propose full legalisation of cannabis
And good news if you love indoor plants: The new policy would allow anyone to grow up to six cannabis plants for personal use. Western Australia's state Labor government was the first to rule out decriminalising or legalising cannabis on Tuesday.

So while there isn't a huge chance that the big Meteor event will happen on April 19, it will be worth fans keeping an eye on the official Fortnite social channels. Some believe the meteor will hit one of the game's most popular areas, Tilted Towers.

With a meteors suddenly popping up everywhere in-game, the player base is on fire with anticipation.

This message apparently adds up to SOS D5 418, something with quite a bit of meaning for Fortnite players.

Players on Reddit and Twitter have claimed that the vibrations are morse code and spell out "SOS 5D 418", with 5D being the map location of Tilted Towers, and 418 potentially meaning April 18th.

Fans have also found evidence for a crater site under the map where the Tilted Towers now stand, and a new LTM mode has also been datamined.

As many fans have speculated, all of this evidence could point to major changes to the popular game via a meteor strike, though the rumors have yet to be confirmed.

In addition, it seems that Epic Games will be offering up both Rare and Epic versions of the weapon, and it may be available via the new Vending Machines.
