Moto E5 and E5 Plus Leaked FCC Listing Reveals its Processors

The Moto G6 series is set to launch in Sao Paulo, Brazil as Lenovo-owned Motorola readies to take the covers off its first new smartphones of 2018.

Now seems like Motorola is getting ready for the launch of Moto E5 and the E5 Plus phones soon in the United States. There is apparently a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. The more budget-friendly Moto G6 Play will likely have a lower-resolution HD+ 18:9 screen, will be powered by the Snapdragon 430, but will lack a fingerprint sensor. However, the pricing details of the other variant - the Moto G6 Plus - are not yet known. Since the past few weeks, we have come across a number of leaks and rumors of the Moto G6 series. While the Moto G6 is said to feature a 5.7-inch "Max Vision" 18:9 full-HD display, along with "Attentive Display" support, the Moto G6 Play will come with a 5.7-inch HD display. According to an image on the Poetic Cases website, the Moto Z3 Play appears with the Karbon Shield case. The power button and the volume rocker is on the right, whereas the bottom has USB Type-C port, and probably the 3.5mm socket is retained as well.

Motorola had launched its Motorola Moto G5S in India previous year in August with a price tag of Rs. 13,999. It is seen to have a sleek metal frame with a camera bump on the back. The smartphone will have a dual rear camera setup and dual curved back.

The upcoming Moto G6 Plus smartphone is rumored to be the top-end variant of the Moto G6 series smartphone which will get Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor under the hood. On the front is a 16-megapixel camera. It will be coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage capacity. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS.

The Moto G6 Play is also a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 8.0 Oreo. It is an octa-core processor (8x ARM Cortex A53) with up to 1.4GHz CPU clock speed. Finally, the dual camera could be a 12MP+8MP unit with a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. The smartphone is also speculated to carry a 16MP shooter for selfies. There is also a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB.

A new teaser clip for the G6 shows off the device from different angles.
