Moto G6 Play has no fingerprint scanner on the front, rather it is placed at the back of the phone in the Motorola M logo. Out of the three, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus are slightly expensive and have premium specs sheet when compared to the Moto G6 Play - which is a budget segment device and comes with nearly the same design but toned-down specifications. It has also unveiled the Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play smartphones for Rs. 12,100 and Rs. 13,800, respectively. The two phones (G6 and G6 Plus) come with a Type-C USB charging port, while the Play variant has a regular micro-USB charging port. All the moto phones will roll out in Asia Ocean, Europe, Latin America and North America. While the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play comes with the same display size and RAM, but vary in terms of battery capacity, camera setup, and processor. Moto G6 puts emphasis on a new design with 3D glass on the G6 and G6 Plus variants.

The Moto G6 Plus, as the name suggests, offers the most premium features in the Moto G6 family. However, the Moto E5 Plus takes the crown with its mammoth battery, larger screen, and better camera. The Moto E5 Play will likely start at around $100, but the Moto E5 Plus could get close to the price of the Moto G series.

The Moto E5 features the same looks as its bigger brother, but fits it all within a smaller 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ panel. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, and microSD card supports up to 128GB. On the software side of things, the Moto G6 Play runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 15W turbo charging.

While the G6 Play has a 5.7-inch display, its screen resolution has been cut down to 720p.

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, octa-core, 2.2GHz. RAM and storage combination is 2GB+16GB and 3GB+32GB. Its default model comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and its maximum storage configuration shall reach up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

In this comparison section, the Moto E5 Plus and the Redmi 5 stand on similar grounds with the same SoC but the Moto E5 Plus packs better battery and runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS. Coming to the Moto G6 Play, this sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

Storage: 32GB/64GB variants, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The fingerprint scanner along with the abundance of gesture controls sits conveniently on the front where it can be accessed comfortably. The 12MP rear camera has f/1.7 aperture and 1.4um pixel size.

Display: 5.2-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS display.
