Finally, after months perched away healing, Underwood revealed her face during a performance at the AMC Awards where she sang her single Cry Pretty. "I didn't know what it was going to heal like", she told Bones. For weeks, Underwood had been leaving a trail of cryptic Instagram photos of her partially covered face, and managed to work people into a frenzy about what she might look like.

It's been nearly six months since Carrie Underwood stepped away from the spotlight.

Underwood, who was out supporting her husband's hockey team, captioned the close-up pic, "Ready to cheer on the boys tonight!"

Sadly, her face did take most of the hit.

"I was taking the dogs out to go pee-pee one last time and I tripped, and there was one step, and I didn't let go of the leashes".

The professor also pointed out that North Korea had previously announced they had completed their nuclear deterrent. Still, the announcement should add to the momentum building for President Donald Trump's planned summit with Kim.

Interviewed later on radio station Sirius XM, Underwood said she truly did not know how things were going to end up, or if her face would heal properly. "There's one lone step and I said if I'd fallen anywhere else, I would've absolutely fine". She sat down for a chat on iHeartRadio's The Bobby Bones Show on Thursday.

Carrie Underwood opens up about her bad accident last November that left her needing surgery and more than a few stitches on her face. Fans all around the world fell in love with her once again as she established herself as a premier country singer of this time with this grand return. "But, there was one step that messed everything up". "I was lucky that when it happened we had the holidays and everything, but I was at a point where I didn't know how it was going to end up". However, she made a decision to send a pre-emptive message to her fan club in January explaining the situation (the one where she said she might look different) because she was anxious that someone would snap a picture of her face in public while she was still healing. However, fortunately for Carrie, the healing process went a lot smoother than she first thought it would. "Now he's sweet. I was anxious he would be scared of me".

"Makeup is a confidence builder for me", Underwood said.

"But now if I put make-up on, he's like 'Mummy, your boo boo's all gone'".

Though Underwood stayed active on social media, she refrained from sharing any new photos of her face.
