Vivo V9 Youth Smart Phone launched in India; Know Specification, Price

The new Vivo V9 Youth is launched in India for Rs 18,990 and will be available on both online and offline channels. The device rocks a FullView bezel-less display spanning 6.3-inch.

On the software front, Vivo V9 Youth runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0. "Packed with a host of cutting-edge features, the Vivo V9 Youth is the ideal smartphone for consumers who want a holistic and powerful smartphone experience at a competitive price", Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India, said in a statement. The Vivo V9, on the other hand, comes with a 16MP + 5MP dual-cameras at the back. It is priced slightly lower at Rs. 18,990 and thus, comes with comparatively lower specifications as well. It also has 16 megapixels front camera with soft LED flash. It is now available from major smartphone retailers across the country and is expected to go on sale at leading e-commerce sites such as Amazon.in, Flipkart, as well as Paytm Mall starting April 24.

The new Vivo V9 Youth comes with a 6.3-inch full view display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by Snapdragon 450 processor (Vivo V9 has Snapdragon 626) coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. We can expand the storage space for up to 256GB using a microSD card. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with a wide-angle lens. For selfies, this phone has 16MP camera (24MP on V9) with AI Face beauty feature for clicking lovely selfies.

The dual SIM smartphone measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). It is backed by a 3260mAh battery with fast charging support. Thankfully the camera unit still retains the face unlock feature while the fingerprint sensor sits at the back. A gaming keyboard is also available, specially created to take up a small part of the screen to make sure your view isn't blocked when chatting and playing games at the same time. The V9 Youth also comes with a feature called Game Mode that provides distraction-free, uninterrupted gaming experience by preventing message, call and other notifications.
