Barcelona beat Sevilla 5-0 to win the Copa del Rey title

Barcelona did the first half of the domestic double as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said: "When I was a player I would have given my right arm to do what he and Messi do".

Iniesta, making one last appearance in a cup final, came close to a second five minutes later but while his deflected effort easily beat the keeper it came back off the crossbar.

The celebrations started in earnest seven minutes into the second half when Iniesta capped off a fine move. The match will star at 1.30am (Sunday) Bangladesh time.

Messi then created the third for Suarez with a sublime through-ball that sent the Uruguayan charging in on the helpless David Soria's goal to finish coolly. In a few days I'll make it public and nothing more. Failure to do so could result in the two combining to devastating effect.

As Kell Brook watched on from the crowd, in Liverpool's Echo Arena, Khan said: "I want to say a big thank you to Liverpool". Job done - an easy night's work - and boxing fans were left stunned by the speed of Khan's comeback victory.

Coutinho cemented a standout night for the soon-to-be La Liga champions, the former Liverpool midfielder lashing home from the penalty spot in the 69th minute, after Clement Lenglet was penalised for a handball when intercepting a flicked pass from Suarez. Arguably Sevilla's strongest defensive figure, his ability to track the movement of Suarez and keep him quiet could prove crucial to the Frenchman's side's success. The stopper helped set up the first goal with a superb long kick downfield which fell to Coutinho just a few yards out from goal.

What has been maintained though across all the contracts is that Barcelona do not pay a bonus for simply winning the Copa del Rey.

Sevilla defender Simon Kjaer is struggling with a hamstring problem while Sebastien Corchia has a groin injury. Sevilla are likely to make a number of changes to the side which drew 0-0 with Deportivo on Tuesday, in which Montella rested several of his key men ahead of the cup final.

The Barca support were given one last reason to cheer as they gave the substituted Iniesta a standing ovation as he left the pitch, with their Sevilla counterparts joining in as the Wanda Metropolitano showed its appreciation for one of the greatest midfielders of recent times.
