Indian PM Modi: Rape is a matter of shame for the country

The prime minister went at length to explain how and why he made a decision to have a surgical strike and how he waited to inform Pakistan first through official channels before letting the people within and outside India know about the surgical strike.

"We believe in peace".

The message for Pakistan was louder and clearer than ever: Toh ye Modi hai, who ussi bhasa me jawab dena janta hai....terror export karne wale ko pata hona chahiye ki aab Hindustan badal chukka hai.

Earlier on Thursday, Modi attended the opening ceremony of this year's CHOGM, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to attend this biannual event since 2009. We were calling them since 11:00am but they did not answer the phone.

The spokesperson said that the threatening statements emanating from the top Indian leadership against Pakistan should be a matter of concern for the global community.

Rejecting Indian allegations of terrorism, the spokesperson reminded it was actually India which was perpetrating acts of terrorism.

Intelligence reports, too, have not shown a favourable outcome for the chief minister from Chamundeshwari. The name of BJP MP Gaddigoudar is also making the rounds as the likely candidate from the constituency.

Commenting on the Kashmir rape case, the spokesperson said Indian government had come under huge criticism about the brutal Kathua rape of an 8-year-old who was kidnapped, held in a temple, repeatedly raped and then bludgeoned to death.

Responding to a series of questions moderated by Prasoon Joshi, the Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification, Prime Minister Modi said he was not born with an aim to be in history books. This will bring together leading tech innovators and scientists from both the United Kingdom and India to look at pressing issues such as tech governance, including data privacy issues.

The spokesperson officially confirmed that the U.S. had communicated to Pakistan regarding imposing travel restrictions on its diplomats stationed in Washington. It is India which continues to sponsor of acts of terrorism in Pakistan.

"At 12 noon, we spoke to them and then told the Indian media". The Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and destroyed terrorist launch pads and killed many terrorists, on September 29, 2016.

"When someone has put a terror export factory in place, attacks my people, has no power to fight a war, so makes attempts to attack behind the back, in such a case Modi knows how to give a reply in the same language. Look at our role in UN Peacekeeping Forces".

When asked whether he can change the country alone, Modi said he was an ordinary citizen just like any other Indian.
