Overwatch Anniversary Celebration Begins Next Week

As of next week, Overwatch will have been out for two years.

If you want to check out the new leaked Junkrat skin from the Brazilian Overwatch Twitter, you can find the mirrored video here.

Blizzard also announced a "Legendary" edition of Overwatch that is due to launch on May 22, which is when the game's second anniversary event begins.

They said in their statement that a heavy law enforcement presence will be seen throughout the area as they search for the bear. Experts say that once a bear discovers a way to get food on a person's property, they will remember and keep coming back.

A number of items from previous celebrations will return, including dance emotes from last year's anniversary, with several seasonal brawls coming back to the Arcade. These seasonal events keep players engaged and encourage them to buy more loot boxes, which keeps Overwatch profitable for Blizzard long after its debut. Some of these loot boxes will also be given out for free as well, one for everyone who plays during the event and another if you're willing to spend enough of your own money on the loot boxes.

To cap it off, Blizzard will be offering a free weekend in the game from May 25-29. Loot box shennanigans not included, I've gotten a lot of playtime out of it.

Finally, a new version of Overwatch will be out on May 22nd. Titled the Legendary Edition, it'll come with the base game, of course, as well as 15 extra skins, all which will be a variety of Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins. There's also a ton of funky fresh new dance emotes for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte on offer. This sounds like a full-featured mode, as it includes placement matches, skill rating division, and leaderboards to track progress.
