Kurt Cobain's Daughter Loses Nirvana 'MTV Unplugged' Guitar In Divorce Settlement

Silva claimed that Frances gave the 1959 Martin D-18E to him as a present, while Frances denied ever gifting the instrument to him.

Kurt's famous MTV Unplugged guitar was part of a nasty divorce settlement between his daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, and her ex-husband, Isaiah Silva.

The acoustic has always been a bone of contention, as Silva has claimed Frances gave him the guitar as a gift - something that was denied by Frances.

Kurt Cobain's daughter married Isaiah Silva back in June of 2014.

The guitar is estimated to be worth millions of dollars and is said to be only one of 300 made at the time.

It was allegedly the last one that Kurt Cobain played before his passing.

President Donald Trump said Peterson either froze under pressure or was a "coward", who "didn't have the courage" to go in. Killed the killer". "This guy is a disgrace", Pollack told the Sun-Sentinel.

TMZ said Cobain is not required to pay spousal support and that Silva must pay his own legal fees.

The court ruled the photographs are exempt from Washington state's Public Records Act and releasing the photos would "violate the Cobain family's due process rights under the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution".

Courtney Love, Frances' mom, previously told TMZ when asked about Silva's claims to the instrument, "It's not his to take".

Lee appealed the verdict past year, causing Courtney Love and Frances Bean Cobain to testify to block Lee's case.

News about the finalization of the divorce comes a few days after the court sided with Frances and Love in the legal battle to keep photos from Kurt's suicide in 1994 sealed. "You know, the bottom line is there's absolutely no evidence to suggest that Kurt's death was anything other than suicide, and it's nearly absurd that the topic continues to come up".

Meanwhile, Frances opened up to E! about her father at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Crystal Ballroom earlier this month.
