Allan McGregor completes move back to old club

Meanwhile, Rangers confirmed an agreement to bring Allan McGregor back to the club today.

The 37-year-old, who will be joined at the Ibrox Stadium by former Reds midfielder Gary McAllister, has his sights set on attacking reinforcements.

McGregor, who has 38 global caps, moved to Hull after a year in the Turkish top flight.

Allan McGregor has rejoined Rangers from Hull City on a free transfer.

He played all 46 league games as the Tigers finished 18th.

The veteran shotstopper becomes Steven Gerrard's second signing, following the four-year deal for Scott Arfield from Burnley. "He has won lots of silverware for this club, and has shone at the highest level in Europe".

The irrepressible Griezmann started and finished the move for his second, four minutes into the second half. Griezmann struck in either half as Madrid captain Gabi rounded off victory with a late effort.

McGregor started his career at Ibrox and had loan spells with St Johnstone and Dunfermline Athletic before becoming a first-team regular.

Instead, the 36-year-old has made a decision to return to Rangers six years after quitting in the wake of the club's financial meltdown.

"When the chance came, it was an absolute no-brainer, so I'm buzzing to be back", he told Rangers TV.

The 35-cap Scotland global won three league titles, a hat-trick of Scottish Cups and five League Cup titles during his first Rangers stint.

"I need to sit down with Steven and go through every single thing in detail, we're doing everything on the telephone at the moment because he's not here". However, he spent a season in Turkey before signing for Hull City in 2013.
