'Obama's Federal Bureau of Investigation spied on Trump campaign with informant', says president

US President Donald Trump marked the first anniversary of the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation on Thursday (Friday NZ Time) by repeating accusations that the FBI had a confidential informant inside his 2016 campaign and by calling the probe "disgusting, illegal and unwarranted". Andrew McCarthy says, "There's probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign".

Giuliani also appeared on Fox & Friends Thursday morning to stoke the flames, saying that if the Federal Bureau of Investigation had spied on the Trump campaign, "That would be the biggest scandal in the history of this town, at least involving law enforcement".

After the Times piece was posted, Breitbart News ran a headline that said "Leakers to NYT Confirm FBI Ran Spy Operation Against Trump Campaign".

Kilmeade discussed the explosive report with former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, who wrote in the National Review about August 2017 testimony to the Senate by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, which became public in January 2018.

Simpson has said that person was Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos, but McCarthy believes it was someone else, who the FBI planted with the campaign, not an aide who cooperated with the investigation willingly.

Allan McGregor completes move back to old club
Meanwhile, Rangers confirmed an agreement to bring Allan McGregor back to the club today. McGregor, who has 38 global caps, moved to Hull after a year in the Turkish top flight.

"Just as I promised the American people from this podium 11 months ago, we enacted the biggest tax cuts and reform in American history", President Donald Trump said during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

"I think the investigation should be thrown out", Giuliani said.

Trump himself took to Twitter Thursday to highlight McCarthy's Fox News interview and slam the "Witch Hunt" on its one-year anniversary under Mueller. "The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an Election despite the spending of far more money!" "Sorry to the Fake News Media and 'Haters, ' but that's the way it is!"

"We're trying to get [Mueller] to end this", Giuliani said. "Maybe a special counsel, special prosecutor, never should have been appointed".

"So it's about time to get the darn thing over with", Giuliani added.
