Tennis player Karolina Pliskova takes it out on umpire's chair

Despite the anger from the Austrian world number eight, he slightly made up for his outburst by handing the now-unusable equipment to a fan in the crowd.

No fine was announced and USA Today reported that the Women's Tennis Association had not responded to queries regarding the incident, but event organizers have been clamping down on tennis players for unsportsmanlike conduct.

With both players locked at 5-5 in the decisive set, Pliskova smashed home a victor which was incorrectly called out much to the dismay of the Czech Republic star.

Sakkari visibly winced as Pliskova vented her fury, taking several steps backwards before the Czech had stormed off, before shaking the umpire's hand. Pliskova argued but the call ultimately stood even though replay clearly showed Pliskova's ball catching the line.

Liverpool's main target to potentially replace Mo Salah at Anfield next season is set to have his release clause raised to €180million.

The scene sparked when both the linesperson and umpire couldn't spot Pliskova's ball mark in the clay with the deciding set tied at 5-5.

With the game in the balance on Pliskova's serve at 6-3, 3-6, 5-5 (30/30), an oversight from the umpire and line judge led the Czech to give up a costly break point that helped see Greece's Maria Sakkari claim victory.

Pliskova's twin sister Kristyna, who is also a professional player, threw her support behind her sibling by calling out the horrendous umpire decision.
