Man tries to force his way onto plane, injures 3 ground staff

Australian Federal Police then showed up and escorted the man back through the gate.

Recounting the ordeal, a passenger identified as Susan said the flight was preparing for departure when the man came hurtling toward the plane. He was travelling to Adelaide, but the locked plane was headed for Sydney.

In the short clip, the man can be seen climbing the stairs to the empty plane and attempting to open its door, first simply pulling the handle towards him and then lifting his foot next to the door to give himself a stronger pull as airport crew rush to stop him.

A 57-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning after running onto the tarmac and attempting to force his way on a flight at Melbourne Airport, in southern Australia.

Jetstar has since banned the unruly flyer from traveling with them, as did Qantas, which owns the budget airline.

"We were sitting waiting to get on the flight and people went, 'Oh my god, what is going on?'" Murray said. "Someone was running on the tarmac".

Backstreet Boys are back (alright!)
The song is called " Don't Go Breaking My Heart " and no, it's not a cover of Elton John's duet with Kiki Dee . just so you know. But fans of the 1990s boyband need not worry - the group has retained its signature cheesy dance moves and slick choreography.

He pushed his way onto the tarmac and attacked the door, before eventually being retained by baggage handlers. "This man was attempting to rise up the steps, he was bodily preventing with the employees, punching and scratching them".

"The federal police showed up five minutes later and walked him out".

The Sydney plane, which the spokesperson said wasn't damaged, was delayed for about an hour-and-a-half while Jetstar found two crew members to replace the injured employees.

He has been banned from all Qantas and Jetstar flights for the time being, and he could be excluded from both airlines for life, depending on the upcoming police investigation.

VideoA passenger was forcibly removed from a plane at Miami International Airport after being accused of groping and of making racist comments.

More charges may be laid against the man, who is also reported to have enjoyed a cigarette inside the airport before charging the aircraft.
