Missing 2-Year-Old Last Spotted in Marshall

The child and her parents were captured in surveillance images on Monday, May 14th at a hospital in northwest Iowa.

Dakota Ray went missing with her parents from SC but authorities believe the couple may be in or on their way to Minnesota.

On Friday, the Camden police in SC said Ray was found in Iowa late Thursday and is now safe in protective custody.

Police believe they may now be in Minnesota.

Law enforcement then received information that they may now be in Minnesota, as they were last seen getting gas in Jackson, Minnesota. They are believed to be sleeping in their van.

According to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, the family was spotted at the Decorah Walmart on Thursday, and a short time later witnesses saw them traveling north of town in a gold Ford van.

According to the Camden Police Department in SC, it is possible that they may be begging or asking strangers for money.

"William is described as 6'11" tall, 340 lbs. with light brown hair and brown eyes.

"Dakota is described as 2'2" tall, 25 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes.

William and Jessica were both transported to the Winneshiek County Jail. He has light brown hair and brown eyes.

Dakota Ray was set to be taken into DSS custody when her parents, Jessica Louise Ray and William Eugene Ray, absconded with the child. The parents were arrested on unrelated charges and are in custody, the Camden, S.C., police said in a statement.

William and Jessica Ray are in police custody.
