Frontier Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Omaha's Eppley Airfield and San Antonio International Airport this summer.

The San Antonio service, the first nonstop service between the two cities, begins August 15, according to a news release from the city.

"The greater San Antonio and Central Texas communities continue to respond well to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy", Frontier senior vice president Daniel Shurz said in a statement. The return flight leaves San Antonio at 3:25 p.m., arriving in Cleveland at 7:31 p.m.

Guatemala Opens Jerusalem Embassy, Two Days After US
At least 61 Palestinians were killed and hundreds injured on Monday in the deadliest day in the besieged territory since 2014 war. Remarking on the embassy opening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "it is a great day for peace" and thanked U.S.

The routes will operate between two and four times per week and start out as seasonal.

The announcement is the largest air service announcement in the San Antonio International Airport's history. "We are proud to continue our commitment and bring even more low fares to San Antonio with nine more non-stop destinations". The airline launched five new flights last fall, and five others last month.

Frontier also offers nonstop flights from Omaha to Austin, Texas; Denver; Las Vegas; Orlando, Florida; and Philadelphia.
