Police Response To Texas School Shooting Remains Unclear

"In the midst of such tragedy, we pray for the victims and those mourning in Santa Fe, while we work to ensure swift and meaningful action to protect our students in schools across our state".

Ten crosses for the victims of Fridays Santa Fe High School shooting in Texas re placed outside the school May 21, 2018.

Eight students and two teachers were killed.

However, as the shooting becomes the latest in a long series of deadly ones at United States schools and becomes another pointer in the US' long-running debate over gun ownership, the killing of Karachi-born exchange student Sabika Sheikh has left the whole of Pakistan reeling from horror and grief.

Her host mother, Joleen Cogburn, recalled asking Sheikh why she came to study in the U.S. She said she wanted to learn American culture and to share Pakistani culture with Americans.

Gun control activists had complained about the picture of Abbot with the shotgun following the shooting and pressed the governor over the weekend to delete if from the webpage.

At least two of those wounded in Friday's mass shooting at Santa Fe High School were still hospitalised, including school police officer John Barnes, who remained in critical condition, said the University of Texas Medical Branch. "It's not about the guns, it's about us".

In the days after the high school shooting, little evidence was emerging that it would rouse a different sentiment this time from Texas' pro-gun lawmakers.

Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge paused amid glitches
The Samsung Galaxy J6 is expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo, out of the box. "It's coming to take you #ToInfinityAndMore ". The Android smartphone will reportedly be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC coupled with 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM .

Retired Lt. Col. Oliver North tells "Fox News Sunday" that authorities are trying "like the dickens" to treat symptoms instead of going after the disease. "We have done a good job since 9/11 of protecting government buildings and airports and private buildings, but we have not done anything to harden the target at our schools", said Patrick, who openly supports the Second Amendment and is opposed to tighter gun control legislation. "Who knows when the next school shooting is going to happen". "And two, she just didn't have feelings for the boy", he said.

"Can you believe this?", the tweet said. The governor's office said most of the meeting will be held in private. "Shana being the first one".

Pagourtzis's attorneys told reporters Monday that their client was "in a state", while the sheriff in the southeast Texas county of Galveston said the 17-year-old was being held "under suicide watch".

She'd been attending classes at Santa Fe High School since last August when she was killed Friday. Her remains were scheduled to return to Pakistan Monday afternoon.

Patrick blames a US "culture of violence" and says more needs to be done to keep shooters away from students, such as restricting school entrances and arming teachers with guns. "But even better than that is four to five guns to one". "Even the young people from Santa Fe are not full-throated advocates of gun control to keep the children safe".

In the Santa Fe High School shooting, restrictions on bump stocks, assault weapons and high-capacity magazines and more strident background checks would not have affected suspect Dimitrios Pagourtzis' ability to obtain weapons.

She doesn't think gun regulations are the answer.
