Trump 'demands' Justice Department investigate FBI

Also making headlines Sunday is Mr. Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, reportedly said that the threat posed by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into potential ties between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign could soon come to an end.

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he will "demand" that the Justice Department open an investigation into whether the FBI infiltrated his presidential campaign, an extraordinary order that came hours before his legal team said that the special counsel indicated its investigation into the president could be concluded by September.

The Washington Post called him "a longtime United States intelligence source" and said he met with a third campaign adviser - am Clovis - as well as Page and Papadopoulos.

"If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action", said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Nunes, who has repeatedly been blamed by Democrats for being the leaker, was referring to reports by the New York Times and the Washington Post, describing the informant as someone who supposedly had contacts with members of President Trump's campaign.

Stephen Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas at Austin, said that while Trump has the authority to order Justice Department officials, those officials also have the right to quit rather than follow his direction.

He spent most of Sunday morning sharing his thoughts on Twitter about the ongoing Russian Federation investigation, suggesting that the ongoing "witch hunt" was out of control.

Trump provided no proof to back up his claim.

The revelation of the timeframe comes with Mr Mueller seeking to interview Mr Trump about claims he obstructed justice.

Bill Gates Says Trump Didn't Know The Difference Between HPV And HIV
HPV , human papillomavirus, is a common sexually transmitted infection that generally causes no symptoms. At that meeting, in Trump Tower, Gates said he advised Trump to "be associated with innovation".

Mueller will "wrap it up when he thinks he's turned over every rock, and when that is will depend on how cooperative witnesses, persons of interest and maybe even some targets are, if any of those emerge, and on what new evidence he finds, not on some arbitrary, first-of-the-month deadline one of the president's attorneys cooks up", the source said.

"STOP!" he wrote. "They have found no collusion with Russia, No obstruction".

Giuliani acknowledged, though, the timeline could change significantly if the president did not cooperate.

Russian Federation has denied interference in the election campaign.

"So if the President really gives Rod Rosenstein or Chris Wray an order (as opposed to Twitter bluster) demanding a particular investigation not properly predicated under FBI/DOJ guidelines for this overtly political objective, I believe both men will resign rather than comply", Wittes wrote. "Show Americans the truth".

Mr. Trump added in his tweet on Sunday that he will ask DOJ to investigate whether any potential surveillance was ordered "by people within the Obama administration!"

The inspector general will expand his probe into the handling of investigations during 2016 election season to include any "irregularities" involving FBI or Justice Department "tactics" - language vague enough to be essentially meaningless.

President Trump called the FBI Director and Deputy Attorney General to the White House Wednesday. Horowitz also said that he would examine other matters that might arise from his work.

But it remains unclear how the informant first came by the information that led to his meetings with Mr Papadopoulos and Mr Page - and his wider role as an Federal Bureau of Investigation informant.
