IPL 2018 Qualifier 2: KKR eye home benefit over SRH

IPL 2018 Qualifier 2: KKR eye home benefit over SRH

The odd thing is that even without qualifying for the finals yet, KKR had found a spot in an advertisement, where it shows the Kolkata boys will face Chennai Super Kings.

It's the 2nd qualifier match of the IPL season 11 and this match will decide out of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders - who will play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2018 final on May 27. They would hope to do the same where they would want to eliminate the threat that Sunrisers posses in their bowling attack. The Afghan leg-spinner removed Robin Uthappa first, Lynn was the next to go and then it was the turn of Andre Russell to fall to the guile of Rashid Khan.

Sunrisers have really struggled in their last four matches as they have ended on the losing side. Sunrisers has finished top of the points table in the league stage and proved an upper hand against KKR when they faced each other before in the stage. However, it may come down to KKR's spin trio versus SRH's pace battery.

The three big wickets broke KKR's spine in the chase, leaving young Shubman Gill with a mountain to climb.

Shivam Mavi then hit Brathwaite for a boundary in the first ball off the final over before the West Indian picked up Mavi and Gill with consecutive deliveries to shut the door for the hosts.

Chief: 3 suspended for incident involving Sterling Brown
The two then begin arguing about the officer having asked Brown to "back up" and whether there was contact between them. When Brown gets close to his car's passenger door, the officer touches Brown and he tells the officer not to touch him.

KKR and SRH faced each other in Qualifier 2, the victor of which would set up final with Chennai Super Kings, and the Orange Army outclassed the men in purple and gold by 13 runs at the Eden Gardens. They will give in their all to stop a rampant KKR.

Rashid stepped on the gas in Prasidh Krishna's final over with two sixes that yielded 24 runs.

It did not matter much in the scheme of things as KKR got three wickets in five overs after the powerplay with Kuldeep giving breakthroughs with a twin blow in the eight over.

In his first ball, Kuldeep trapped the dangerous-looking Shikhar Dhawan (34) and in the fifth ball, he deceived the "Orange Cap" holder Williamson (3) with a wrong one.
