Swiftly responding to the rumours, a spokesperson for the couple denied a divorce announcement was pending - and moved to shut down the gossip.

David and Victoria have announced they are not getting divorced after nearly 19 years of marriage, following social media speculation about the state of their relationship. "What nonsense. Fake news fueled by social media".

A statement released by the couple's representatives dubbed the chat as "fake news", and said it was "embarrassing and laughable" that people would buy into it.

David and Victoria Beckham, who share four children together, Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 6, have been married since 1999.

The rumor began to spread on social media on Friday (June 8) after bookies suspended betting on the odds of their marriage.
