BioWare Opens Up On Anthem’s Single-Player Story

Anthem, the new third-person shooter from BioWare, will be the crown jewel of EA's event this year, as the publisher has already revealed that it will be debuting a new story trailer, more gameplay footage, a combat showcase, insights from the game's developers, and a look behind the scenes at the game's art direction. It'll bring all-new PC games - including Madden, FIFA 19, and Anthem for PC, as well as games from the EA's vault of available titles on Origin. The only game with a chance to receive as much screen time as Anthem is probably the recently announced Battlefield V.

The sprawling action-RPG is now in development for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and proudly flexed its muscles at EA Play this evening.

A few new games and a couple of nice surprises ensued, and with those mixed in with the usual EA Sports announcements and a big segment dedicated to the excellent looking Anthem, it was a show worth taking in. The game will be set betweent episodes 3 and 4 of the movies.

For Star Wars Battlefront 2, the game will feature a new squad system, as well as a starfighter mode, soon. The game will feature an overworld that players can interact in, but story elements are part of the player's interactions in their base, in which the single-player aspect shines. You will be able to play solo, but things will be more hard that way since you'll have no back-up. A demo has been shown, with it being played by two players, and it looks like a nice step forward from the original. Did the striking Sea of Solitude take your fancy?

They also stepped up Trump's assault on Trudeau himself - unprecedented in the neighbouring countries' longstanding relationship. President Donald Trump accused Canada of burning down the White House during the War of 1812, according to a new report .

After years of shifting release windows, EA has given Anthem an official release date: February 22, 2019.

We'll have to see if the game can accomplish that sort of long life, but EA is doing what it can to ensure it is appealing before it launches. Additionally, players will be able to customize the various suits with cosmetic appearances and gear.

You'll be donning a Javelin exosuit as a Freelancer to venture out into the world to fight against The Dominion, a multitude of giant monsters, and other enemy factions. With its October 19 launch date looming, we're bound to finally see some live gameplay at E3.

It's an interesting move by BioWare, which seems to be positioning Anthem as the most story-rich of the big hobby games.
