Pep Guardiola Rebuts Yaya Toure Accusations Of Racism

Pep Guardiola has dismissed Yaya Toure's claim he has a problem with African players as a lie and questioned why the midfielder chose to try and tarnish his reputation so soon after leaving Manchester City.

In an interview with France Football, Toure strongly criticised the Manchester City boss.

Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola says that he will never coach Barcelona again.

'He [Guardiola] insists he has no problems with black players, because he is too intelligent to be caught out, ' Toure sensationally claimed last week.

Guardiola's success was made all the more special due to the number of homegrown talent in Barca's ranks, but the 47-year-old has no intention of going back as he does not want to ruin his own legacy.

"But when you realise that he has problems with Africans, wherever he goes, I ask myself questions". He'll never admit it (not liking Africans).

When asked about Toure's comments on Spanish show TV3, Guardiola revealed what he really thought.

Guardiola has responded to the comments from his former player, telling Televisio de Catalunya: "He knows that I'm not racist".

"We were together two years and it is only now when he says it".
