Conor McGregor's shot at third belt boosted by former foe

The second meeting that was supposed to take place with the rivals was further cancelled, with McGregor writing, "Something came up", which was a reference to his aggressive appearance he showed at the media event for UFC 223 back in April 5th at Brooklyn. "That's why I took the fight".

"Here I am, fighting for the (interim) title".

So, this would mean the victor would jump right back into camp, if, the UFC wanted to move forward with a title unification bout for August 4th.

One hardly could blame Rafael dos Anjos if he's a little unnerved about where he fits in welterweight champion Tyron Woodley's apparent personal pecking order.

"If the Irish boy wants to try his third belt, I'll be there", said RDA.

Your internet use could change as 'net neutrality' ends
Ajit Pai , who chairs the FCC , was known to oppose net neutrality and in the past had said it was a brake on innovation. For most of the country, unfettered access to the internet now depends on the goodwill of their service providers.

"I've just gotta say that the Philadelphia Eagles suck", he said in an interview with MMA Junkie. The Irishman's earnings for 2017 - all from the Mayweather fight - were estimated at $85 million, which Forbes characterized as "more than five times his previous biggest check".

With a win this weekend over Colby Covington and a quick turnaround Rafael Dos Anjos may get the chance to unify the welterweight belt and become a true two division champion. If Dos Anjos is able to damage the front leg of Covington he will have a real advantage going into the later rounds, which is where I see Dos Anjos pulling away and finishing the show. When he was told that he would fight me, he said, 'Dos Anjos, just in December - only December'.

UFC 224 took place in Brazil, and any legal issues McGregor is going through could easily preclude him from traveling overseas to fight. Whittaker took the first bout between the two with a unanimous decision at UFC 213 last July. Obviously I'm still doing rehab, still getting the strength back. "I'm a very competitive guy, and once I step inside the Octagon, I'm a cold-blooded fighter; I don't bring any emotions with me".

"I have to win for me - for my family and for myself".

Tyron Woodley's relayed that he wants to return to the cage on August 4th at UFC 227, and although that would probably pose a match-making problem for the promotion, the champ's standing by that date.
