Salah told reporters on Sunday that he expected to play against Uruguay, before he flew to Russian Federation with the rest of the Egyptian squad.

Team officials said his participation in Egypt's opener against Uruguay on Friday at Yekaterinburg remains uncertain.

The 25-year-old Salah has not played since injuring his left shoulder in Liverpool's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last month.

He took part in the team training session on Wednesday but did not engage in any pieces of training that involves the ball.

Team director Ihab Lahita said: "There's a good degree of progress but no definitive decision on whether he takes part, as we are following his case day by day".

The documents add that " it is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother ". The doctor is once again required to be present and will meet with the kids before and after each two day period.

Salah arrived in Russian Federation with serious doubts about his participation due to the shoulder injury, which occurred when Sergio Ramos wrestled him to the ground in the final. "We hope he will be with us for the Uruguay match".

And though he looked to be out of the World Cup with his injury, picked up when he and Sergio Ramos both fell to ground in a grapple-like coming together, the former Chelsea man is thought possibly fit to start the opening game of Egypt's campaign, and even declared himself as "ready" recently.

Uruguay are the favourites in Group A, which also includes hosts Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia, who kick off the World Cup on June 14.

"I'm with Luis (Suarez), I like the best players to play, I train with the best and I want the best players to play", said Muslera.
