Score one for China, America's rival.

"South Korea is a little confused".

US college student Otto Warmbier did not die in vain days after he was released from North Korean custody in 2017, as his death helped initiate a process that led to Tuesday's historic summit with North Korea, US President Donald Trump said.

At the heart of negotiations was the "complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization" of the Korean peninsula in exchange for "security guarantees" for the North's mercurial leader, Kim Jong Un.

While North Korea has its own approaches to checking food quality, the United States utilizes a more reliable method.

Trump said: "That's true".

Using an iPad, Trump said, he showed Kim a short video made on his behalf, laying out the opportunities that could come with an agreement to eliminate North Korea's nuclear arsenal - a story about "two men, two leaders, one destiny". What should we take away from this historic moment?

North Korea has been an isolated nation since it first divided from South Korea after the end of World War II in 1945.

North Korea appeared to make some concessions before the head-to-head talks, including the release of American prisoners and the destruction of a ballistic missile testing facility. Following the G-7, he backed out of a joint communique signed by the six other members, and insulted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as "weak" and "dishonest" for criticizing USA tariffs.

Now that the summit is over, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is busy working on implementing the summit's agenda.

Many North Korea watchers have noted that the Singapore summit agreement lacks substance, despite Trump touting it as "very comprehensive".

The official newspaper of the Workers' Party of Korea featured 14 photos covering over half of the front page of its issue yesterday, showing a jovial Mr Kim walking with Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and other Singaporean officials at Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands hotel.

"It must have been at Kim's insistence to not [include] CVID", a senior South Korean official said, saying any reference to the term would have subjected Pyongyang to much tighter scrutiny.

If confirmed, the reported deal could be seen as a concession by Trump since USA officials - and the president himself - had called for the North to take swift and clear disarmament measures before receiving any rewards. A spokesman for Moon said the government needed more information "to understand" Trump's intentions. "South Korea alliances, then this is the way to launch the process", said Evans Revere, a former USA diplomat in South Korea. The US forces in South Korea, meanwhile, told Stars and Stripes magazine that it had not received updated guidance on cessation of training exercises, and "will continue with our current military posture until we receive updated guidance".

Trump rejected the idea that the US was the loser in the talks.

"I believe in North Korea", Rodman said.

"I think the meeting was every bit as good for the United States as it was for North Korea", Trump said.

He instead suggested Trump's comment about suspending military exercises was "part of the negotiating". "The elites on the left want this president to fail", she said.

Well, Square Enix just wrapped up a short and uneventful E3 press conference that really seemed to phone it in. There was a clip of a Rathalos coming full force at Final Fantasy players, and Palicos coming to assist them.
