Then on Sunday the cute family attended the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at the Beaufort Polo Club to cheer on dad Prince William, who was taking part.

The British royal family sparked criticism this week after 4-year-old Prince George was photographed playing with a toy gun at a polo match in Gloucestershire.

Charlotte and George made the most of their day out.

Her next public appearance was her outing at Trooping The Colour on Saturday, where she joined the royal family on the balcony for the flypast. I really don't get toy guns - why play with things you should never have to use.

In April, she charmed fans when she accompanied her father and brother to the Lindo Wing to meet Prince Louis for the first time and began waving as soon as she stepped out of the family auto.

"She was calm with the children".

Prince George wore a navy blue polo shirt with Khaki shorts while his sister Charlotte wore a pink floral frock.

Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, was too busy making her mom laugh during Sunday's polo event.

Her adorable dress proved that dressing like a duchess doesn't have to involve the budget of a royal.

George, who's known to have an interest in police, was also pictured playing with what looked like a toy knife and handcuffs.

Even an opinion piece in The Huffington Post assured parents in the aftermath that allowing (specifically) young boys to play with guns would not make them grow up to be psychopaths.
