On Tuesday, her trial in Loudoun County Circuit Court was set for January 15.

Actress and activist Rose McGowan will face trial on felony cocaine possession charges. Her trial date is expected to be scheduled Tuesday at the courthouse in Loudoun County, Virginia.

But McGowan claims her wallet went missing while she was waiting at baggage claim after the flight.

TMZ reported that the actress pleaded not guilty.

McGowan has maintained her innocence, and suggested in court papers that the drugs were planted by people working for disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who McGowan has accused of raping her in 1997 at the Sundance Film festival.

Charging documents say cocaine was found in a wallet McGowan left behind on a United Airlines plane at Washington Dulles International Airport a year ago. Police said two bags of cocaine were discovered inside.

Defense attorney Jessica Carmichael argued, however, that there was not enough evidence to prove McGowan's guilt, pointing to inconsistencies among witnesses as well as the hours that passed between the flight's landing and the wallet's discovery.

"There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia", she wrote.

She also cited reports that Weinstein hired private investigators to follow women who had made accusations against him. McGowan has said repeatedly that the drugs may have been planted on her, and are not hers.

McGowan was among the first to accuse Weinstein of sexual assault.
