Sylvester Stallone Under Investigation By Los Angeles Sex Crimes Task Force

An incident involving a woman and actor Sylvester Stallone from the 1990s is now under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department District Attorney's office.

Reuters reports the District Attorney's office spokesman Greg Risling said prosecutors are reviewing the case, which was presented by the Santa Monica police department.

A representative for Stallone did not immediately return a request for comment. The statue of limitations were said to have already expired on that case, though. Media reports from previous year, however, outline at least two alleged incidents of sexual assault from his past. Police say the woman reported the alleged incident to police in Santa Monica in November past year.

Details Emerge About Conor McGregor's Latest Court Appearance
MMA star McGregor has said he "regrets" his actions at a UFC media event which led to him being charged with several offenses. McGregor stated in this prepared statement that he understands the "seriousness" of the matter and hopes it is resolved soon.

Stallone's case joins a slew of others that are being handled by the L.A. County sex crimes task force, which was formed a year ago in the wake of the vast fallout from the Harvey Weinstein scandal. The Daily Mail obtained a police report last November, detailing what allegedly went down. The DA's office did not specify the timing of the alleged incident or say how long the case would be under review.

Stallone's rep called the Las Vegas allegation "a ridiculous, categorically false story".

The alleged incident at the center of the case took place in 1990s, Lt. Saul Rodriguez of the Santa Monica Police said. "At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter".
