Trump Envisions Oceanfront Hotels and Condos in North Korea

United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un came away from a historic summit on Tuesday with an agreement to work toward a "complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".

Trump met with the North Korean leader in an unprecedented summit in Singapore, where they signed an agreement that included a North Korean commitment to full denuclearization. North Korea's famous for promising to scrap its nukes in exchange for concessions - and then breaking those promises once it gets what it wants.

Complete denuclearisation must mean the irreversible dismantlement of Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program.

He also called for the return of the six-party talks (held by North and South Korea, the United States, Japan, China, and Russia), according to Russian press agency TASS. "And the communique is the most we could hope for out of this first gathering between these two very unlikely leaders".

"I got so many death threats", Rodman said regarding his visits to North Korea and friendship with Kim Jong-un.

A confident leader strode into the Singapore summit and won.

But Rocky Kim says Trump failed by not pushing him to commit to a timeline for getting rid of nuclear weapons, calling it a "painted peace to show to the world".

But he's serious leader who runs a country with serious national interests. That will lead to more conflict, not less.

The most compelling image from the summit was the background of intertwined US and North Korean flags.

It's important to remember, however, that from now on US leverage will dwindle. Amnesty International puts North Korea in a category all its own with its abuses. Russian Federation is questioning its utility and some in South Korea are doing the same.

What was accomplished during this historic meeting was the signing of a comprehensive document, with the goal of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.

In many ways, the Singapore summit was classic Trumpery. At his news conference, Trump said the war games were expensive, provocative, and inappropriate. I really believe that. "I just feel it very strongly".

Former U.S. ambassador Bill Richardson told VOA he is concerned about no verification of what the North Koreans will do about missile technology in the DPRK, no detail of nuclear reduction, the peace treaty and human rights. "My meeting with Chairman Kim was honest, direct, and productive".

The agreement said the two countries would co-operate towards "new relations", while the U.S. would provide "security guarantees" to North Korea. "At the end of the day, this is our last best chance to end this conflict without a war".
