They then departed by auto for the Mersey Gateway Bridge and met with architects, planners and community representatives.

It's coming up to a month since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in a lovely spring ceremony in Windsor.

Anyway, Meghan chose to wear Givenchy for their big day out which is no major surprise really, given that the fashion house's creative director Claire Waight-Keller also designed Meghan's first wedding dress.

The pair are in Cheshire for their very first joint official engagement together.

The queen and the Duchess of Sussex, as Markle is now known, travelled by a special royal train for a series of events Thursday.

They will then attend a lunch at Chester Town Hall as guests of the city council.

"It does seem odd though, as normally the duchess would have been escorted around to her side of the limo and the door opened for her whilst [the queen] got in to her side, and they then drive away", Messervy added.

But they have refused to meet with the United States-backed government, saying they will only negotiate with the U.S. directly. Taliban fighters and security forces embraced and took selfies with each other over the first two days of the Eid holiday.

It is believed that Meghan may have offered to let the 92-year-old go before her so that she was best positioned to exit on the pavement side when the vehicle comes to a stop. Meanwhile, the Queen also looked fabulous as ever - the monarch wore a smart lime green coat dress and carried a black handbag.

Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex arrive by Royal Train at Runcorn Station, north west England, Thursday June 14, 2018.

At least for now, we all have to get used to a pantyhose wearing, nude nail polish rocking, sort of quieter version of Meghan.

Sure, being the Duchess of Sussex comes with some perks (mostly clothing wise) but as soon as Markle said "I do" every move she will make for the rest of her public life will be analyzed.

During the event, Markle and the queen watched a drama performance by local students called "Drop in the Ocean".
