2 die of 6 men wounded in southern Sweden drive-by shooting

At least one of the victims of the shooting was known to police, Swedish media reported.

The police said terrorism has been ruled out.

Police cordon off an area after five people were shot and injured in central Malmo, Sweden.

Reports are emerging this evening that four people have been wounded in a shooting in the Swedish city of Malmo.

The incident happened in Malmo just after 8pm, according to TT.

Local police have released a statement which reads: 'Police were called to Drottninggatan [Queen Street] due to an outdoor shooting.

"We are treating this as an isolated event that is confined to these injured persons", she added.

The police lacks adequate resources to combat the scourge of crime that is sweeping parts of the country, Swedish Democrats party member Nima Gholam Ali Pour told RT.
