All you need to know about YouTube's new music streaming service

Have you already signed up for YouTube Music or YouTube Premium?

YouTube Music has just been launched by Google with the internet giant boasting the app has been created to "make the world of music easier to explore and more personalised than ever".

You'll also get access to the brand-new YouTube Music with a premium subscription, or you can save a couple bucks per month and just get YouTube Music on its own (just get them both, its worth it!).

YouTube Premium launched in a dozen new global territories Monday, making breakout streaming hit "Cobra Kai" and other original content available in countries including the United Kingdom and other European nations.

Since the launch in the USA of YouTube Music, the question most people have been asking is: why isn't this a direct replacement to Google Play Music?

Back in May, Google first officially announced the launch of brand-new music service called YouTube Music and a new ad-free YouTube service called YouTube Premium. YouTube Premium does include the Music subscription along with all the benefits of that service.

It also announced new apps and web player in tandem with the service restructuring - which includes features such as dynamic custom recommendations; expansive search options (search by lyrics or generic description); and "thousands" of playlists across genre, mood and activity. It will also offer automatic recommendations based on the artists and songs you have played before on the service, along with where you are now located, and what you might be doing.

A dedicated Hotlist screen has the hottest new videos, as you'd expect from YouTube, with today's fare including IAMDDB, George Ezra and Nao.

Gal Gadot Gives Followers First Look At New 'Wonder Woman' Movie
Perhaps the most important photograph for fans is of Wonder Woman herself and Gadot took to Twitter to give them what they wanted. The outfit looks very similar to the one she rocked in the original film, only shinier, but that may be a trick of the light.

With YouTube Music, you'll pay $9.99 per month to get ad-free listening along with the ability to download songs and listen to your music in the background.

If you're a bit confused about the differences between YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, you aren't alone.

You can try YouTube Premium free for three months here with it then costing £11.99 per month or £17.99 per month for a Family Plan.

YouTube's Premium services are competitively priced, hitting the average monthly subscription cost of $9.99 for their Music service.

The company says current members of YouTube Red and Google Play Music members (including family plans) in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico will automatically receive access to YouTube Premium at their current price. The relaunch of the service includes a full slate of YouTube Originals shows and films, including Cabra Kai, Impulse and The Sidemen Show.

The new service is an attempt by the Californian digital empire to combat its fast-growing rivals like Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.

"People come to YouTube to be part of music culture and discover new music", the company said in a statement.
