XXXTentacion foreshadowed his own death in a video months ago

After conflicting reports about his condition, TMZ is reporting that 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion is dead after being shot in Florida.

As previously reported, XXXTentacion (real name Jahseh Onfroy) was fatally shot at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida, on Monday afternoon.

"The adult male victim has been confirmed as 20 year old Jahseh Onfroy [sic], aka rapper #XXXTentacion", the sheriff's department said later in a Twitter posting. He was transferred to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead, the Broward County Sheriff's Office confirmed. One of them fired at him before they made off in an SUV.

Videos circulating on Twitter showed Onfroy was sitting in the front seat of his auto seemingly unconscious when he was found by witnesses.

Kanye West, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar are among the artists to have praised his music.

Rapper Who Had No. 1 Album In March Was 20
The 20-year-old Florida native had been embroiled in legal problems over his alleged beating of a pregnant girlfriend. XXXTentacion has been pronounced dead by the Broward Police Department after being shot in Florida on Monday.

With all the turbulence in X's life, his death appears to have had a profound effect on Tekashi, who returned to Instagram Monday night to post a video apologizing to all the people he's offended, hotnewhiphip.com reported.

"Rest in peace I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing". The album's single "Sad!" peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 15 weeks on the charts, according to Billboard. J. Cole had similarly kind words, calling him an "enormous talent" and saying he had a "strong desire to be a better person". His mugshot achieved a twisted renown among his scene, and misconduct and controversy have seemed to follow his career. Later, he faced more charges including witness tampering.

His music was recently removed from Spotify's official playlists and recommendation features, amid a new policy targeted at "hate content and hateful conduct".

According to the Miami New Times, Onfroy's girlfriend accused him of smacking her in the face, holding her under water, and shoving a barbecue fork into her genitals.
