Corey Lewandowski mocks child with Down syndrome taken from mom at border

Lewandowski worked as campaign manager for Trump during the United States president's 2016 campaign.

"Our consulate in McAllen is doing the gestures so that, in an immediate fashion, the girl is taken out of the shelter and is reunified with her father, who has the status of a legal resident", Videgaray said.

During an appearance on Fox News, Lewandowski responded to a story of a 10-year-old girl with Down Syndrome being taken from her mother and placed in caged detention in Texas by saying "womp, womp" - an onomatopoeic phrase sometimes heard in cartoons.

"Womp womp", Lewandowski interrupted, as if he just learned someone's ice cream fell off their cone, splattering on the ground. How dare you. How dare you.

Mitsotakis: rejecting vote of no confidence is backing Macedonia deal
The Macedonian delegation, led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, arrived from Macedonia by boat across Lake Prespa. The agreement "brings us a friend that many said was an irreconcilable enemy".

The heated exchange follows a report published by the The Wall Street Journal hours earlier in which Mexico's Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray claimed a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome was was taken from her mother and brother while the family illegally entered the U.S.

The two then shouted over each other. This policy is abhorrent. The president has doubled down on his stance, maintaining the policy while falsely spewing blame at congressional Democrats.

The ensuing controversy surrounding the Trump administration's enforcement of its "zero-tolerance" policy devolved into a shouting match during a Fox News segment on Tuesday. The Trump administration also ended an Obama program a year ago that gave families more freedom pending deportation hearings. "And we have members of the Trump team who are going womp womp when you learn about the stories - the horror that is going on down at the border". And Petkanas is right.
