Japan beat 10-man Colombia in another World Cup upset

Winless in their six previous World Cup games on European soil, Japan went ahead in the opening minutes thanks to a Shinji Kagawa penalty.

Senegal fans aren't the only group to show impeccable manners at this year's tournament after footage emerged of Japan fans cleaning up after themselves following their side's 2-1 win over Colombia.

In this act of kindness, some Senegalese supporters opted to help out after the game by cleaning up the mess that had all been left behind. America's Steve Christakos reports.

Japanese fans impressed World Cup viewers after they were seen cleaning up the stadium following their team's victory against Colombia.

The Blue Samurai supporters did likewise at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with Japan-based football journalist Scott McIntyre explaining that cleanliness is considered a vitally important part of everyday life in the country.

The footage comes after Senegal fans in the other Group H encounter did exactly the same in Moscow later on Tuesday evening.

Japan and Senegal face each other in a Group H match on Sunday, June 24.
