Argentina are yet to win a match in this World Cup.

Balogun made a super headed clearance from a cross whipped in from Iceland's left as Nigeria protected a 1-0 lead.

Former Nigeria global Mutiu Adepoju has stated that the 3-0 win by Croatia against Argentina in Thursday's Russian Federation 2018 FIFA World Cup clash has thrown Group D open.

Nigeria must now avoid defeat in the final game against Argentina next Tuesday.

Nigeria's flashy fashion didn't translate to a win against Croatia last Saturday.

Goals from Ante Rebic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic sent Croatia into the knockout stage for the first time since their debut at France 1998.

The destination wasn't immediately announced, but the coast guard said it wouldn't dock until at least Tuesday. Salvini said: "I have asked to have a report on the Roma situation prepared to see who, how and how many".

Nigeria play Iceland on Friday.

The tireless Moses was released down the right and his cross was met by Musa who teed up the ball deftly with the outside of his right foot before unleashing an unstoppable half-volley into the roof of the net. The penalty was awarded after a video review showed that Alfred Finnbogason had been brought down by Tyronne Ebuehi.

But Nigeria's second-half display in Volgograd was arguably as good as any in the World Cup and came after a fairly dour first half in which the Super Eagles did not register a shot on target.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr said he is not under pressure ahead of the match.

The President expressed delight at the confidence, discipline, team-work and indomitable spirit displayed by the young Nigerian players.

He said, "We have a plan to apply for Iceland in the hope of achieving goals early and making them feel bad", Moses said.
