Belgium romp past Tunisia with Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku doubles

Should Belgium lose their final game against England, now on three, and if pointless Panama somehow beat England and Tunisia, all three would have six points and the top two would be decided on goal difference, though it would need a footballing freak show to stop Roberto Martinez's side.

Hazard won and converted a sixth-minute penalty before Lukaku ran onto a Dries Mertens pass to coolly slot home the second 10 minutes later.

Belgium are on a high after scoring three goals against Panama, with Lukaku netting twice on the day.

Dylan Bronn headed one back for Tunisia in the 18th minute before Lukaku restored Belgian's two-goal lead in first-half stoppage time. The past mark was 26 games without a 0-0 draw from the 1954 tournament.

If Belgium beats Tunisia it will be nearly certainly assured of a place in the knockout stages of the World Cup. Sliti starts on the bench after Tunisia's 2-1 defeat by England, while Farouk Ben Mustapha stays in goal after coming on when Mouez Hassen was injured. Martinez has kept faith with a defensive line of three, with Dedryck Boyata in the centre flanked by Tottenham Hotspur pair Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. Coach Roberto Martinez will probably stick with the same game plan he used against Panama, asking his players to pay specific attention to dead ball situations, as many goals have been scored in this manner at this World Cup.
