Free agent guard Thomas to join Nuggets

Isaiah Thomas has finally signed with a team.

Free agent guard Isaiah Thomas has agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, league sources told ESPN. After an absolutely sensational 2016-17 campaign with the Boston Celtics ended prematurely due to a hip injury, Thomas was traded to Cleveland, struggled after returning from the aforementioned injury, got traded to the Lakers at the deadline, then underwent surgery to fix his injured hip after 17 games. He never did seem to be fully himself on the floor. At the very least, the Nuggets - which desperately needed another point guard behind Jamal Murray - hope that will end up being the case.

Instead, he is staying out West after his tumultuous 2017-18 season, which began with a move to Cleveland in the Kyrie Irving trade.

Thomas will reunite with Michael Malone, who coached him with the Sacramento Kings. He was shipped to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he backed up Lonzo Ball, averaging 15.6 points.

Trump lands in United Kingdom amid widespread protests
Following his United Kingdom visit, Trump will move on to Helsinki, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin . Protests coinciding with Mr Trump's visit are set to take place in Glasgow this evening and in Edinburgh on Saturday.

Thomas has been working his way back from a procedure on his hip and if he rebounds on the court this season, he could provide a strong option for the Nuggets while reestablishing his value before becoming a free agent again.

With the Nuggets, Thomas has the chance to run with some exciting players.

Denver also re-signed Will Barton this offseason, and posses two stars in Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic. The following year he started off in Phoenix before getting traded to Boston.
