Nets Trade Away Jeremy Lin, Isaiah Whitehead In Separate Deals

ESPN first reported the deal, saying the Nets and Hawks would swap future second-round picks. The 29-year-old tore his right patellar tendon in the first game of the 2017-18 season and missed the rest of the year.

Lin told the Nets website earlier this week that he has yet to participate in full-contact drills as he rehabs the injury. According to the report, the Hawks will send the Nets a 2020 second-round pick originally from Portland and the rights to 2016 second-round pick Isaia Cordinier, who to date has remained in his native France.

Now, Lin will have to find room in Atlanta, where point guard Dennis Schroder was the Hawks' leading scorer last season.

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will renew rivalry in Wimbledon semi-finals
While Djokovic holds the edge overall at 26-25, Nadal is 9-4 in Grand Slams against a player at one time considered his nemesis. Friday's showdown will be their 52nd meeting overall _ the most for any pair of men and 14 more installments than Federer vs.

Spencer Dinwiddie stepped in while Lin was out and became one of the NBA's most improved players.

Meanwhile, the Hawks are adding another fun point guard to a backcourt that just drafted Trae Young and Kevin Huerter. Denver also got rid of $21 million in salary with the deal, with the bulk of that coming from the $13.8 million Faried is owed next season.

Lin finishes his tenure in Brooklyn with averages of 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
