Apple also said the notebook, available in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, will come with an updated keyboard. The new 15-inch MacBook Pros can be specced out to include 8th-generation, six-core Intel Core i9 CPU, AMD Radeon Pro 555X graphics, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Apple's Macbook Pro keyboard design has been under fire recently for its rate of failure and high cost to replace. I haven't yet banged away on one to see just how quiet that is, but frankly the bigger question around the keyboards surrounds their ultimate durability.

The 2015 MacBook Pro also contained legacy ports that Apple has since abandoned in the newest models: USB-A, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 2 ports, and an SD card slot. On top of those weighty responsibilities, the T2 lets the new MacBook Pros handle "Hey Siri" invocations for the first time.

MacBook Pro can be updated this fall with macOS Mojave, the latest version of the world's most advanced desktop operating system.

Senate sends Trump a message to slow down on tariff escalation
The Democrats said the global economy is on edge and "we can not pretend that this is business as usual". Although the resolution was voted on by a majority, 11 senators voted against it, including Sen.

"The 15" series features Radeon 555X or Radeon 560X discrete GPU graphic cards with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, while the 13" line sticks to the integrated GPU now with 128MB of embedded DRAM.

The new MacBook Pros are also part of a Back to School promotion that Apple is announcing today. Both laptops will go on sale through Apple authorized resellers later this month.

Most other things about the 15 inch MacBook Pro are the same, though, with a 15.4 inch Retina display showing 2880×1800 resolution, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the Touch Bar with TouchID sensor there, too. "The T2 handles solid-state storage controller tasks and on-the-fly disk encryption, and it allows the 15" MacBook Pro to house SSDs as large as 4 TB and the 13" model to stuff in as much as 2 TB of NAND. Apple says the new MacBook Pros come with a third-generation keyboard that's quieter than before, but it continues to have the same butterfly switch mechanism and key travel that made the previous gen of MacBook Pros so controversial.

Prices start at $2,399 for the MBP 15 and the new computers are available for ordering through the online Apple Store and from physical Apple Stores this week.
