Furious Elon Musk calls Thailand cave rescue diver a 'pedo'

Mr Musk responded yesterday in a freaky series of tweets referring to Mr Unsworth without using his name as "pedo guy".

In a series of now-deleted Tweets, Musk called cave diving expert Vern Unsworth a "pedo", doubling down on the comment before deleting the Tweets after a storm of public backlash.

Unsworth had stated that he felt Musk's submersible had no chance of ever working for that specific rescue because it was too big and rigid for the caverns, and as can be seen at a column on the Inquisitr. James Anderson, a partner at Baillie Gifford, Tesla's fourth-largest shareholder, said in a recent Bloomberg interview the company needed a period of "peace and execution", adding: "It would be good to just concentrate on the core task".

Elon Musk tweeted out video demonstrating how his miniature submarine worked.

This photo tweeted by Elon Musk shows efforts underway to rescue trapped members of a youth soccer team from a flooded cave in northern Thailand.

Musk further questioned the allegation of a PR stunt, saying he had repeatedly declined to help until the death of former Royal Thai Navy special operations diver Saman Gunan in the cave.

When a CNN journalist pointed out that Musk had been inside the cave, Unsworth shrugged.

'I hadn't thought' of asking Putin to hand over indicted Russians
Bolton described the meeting as "unstructured" and said: "We're not looking for concrete deliverables here". Mr Trump said the USA has "a lot of foes" and named the bloc as one of them.

The caver, Vernon Unsworth, said the submarine was a "PR stunt" that wouldn't have made it 50 meters into the cave past the dive start point.

Musk has also defended himself from skeptics of the subs' potential usefulness, sharing correspondence with the rescue team as they provided encouragement and feedback.

During the rescue, Musk had tweeted about his idea to help.

Musk was intensely criticised on Twitter for the attack on Unsworth. "We will make one of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo". On Sunday, Musk called him a "pedo" on the social network.

'Only people in sight were the Thai navy/army guys, who were great. Both tweets have since been deleted.

The Tesla CEO had traveled to Thailand earlier this week, touting his "mini-sub" that he said was built with rocket parts and could be carried by two divers.

However, Musk didn't offer any evidence to support his claim against Unsworth, a resident of Thailand's Chiang Rai province who has spent six years exploring the Tham Luang caves, according to CNN.
