Celebration as France lifts the trophy

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović has charmed the world by standing in the pouring rain during the closing ceremony of the World Cup, smiling and hugging every player from both teams despite her country's loss.

Above all, there's just something terribly amusing about a striker winning the World Cup without a shot on target. It's a huge honour to be in such a special place, the Kremlin, to celebrate the end of the 2018 World Cup and pass on the torch to the organisers of the 2022 World Cup.

Fifa World Cup 2018 provided football fans a lot of moments to cherish right from the opening night to the final Sunday in Russian Federation.

The French team, which beat Croatia by a score of 4-2, went into the tournament as an underdog but ramped up its game as play wore on.

It was France's second World Cup title, 20 years after the team led by captain Didier Deschamps won its first title, which also earned them a Legion of Honour from then-president Jacques Chirac.

In some of the other posts, it is vivid that it is not on objective that the umbrellas have been kept away from French President Emmanuel Macron and his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.

Speaking about a trade deal, Mr Trump said: 'I think we're going to have a great trade deal, I've really no doubt about it. We met, but also watching the guard, hearing the sounds, being in that place, that very special place.

Croatia may have lost the World Cup final to France on Sunday afternoon, but their fans garnered plenty of attention thanks to their unusual headgear.

"Russia is handing over the relay baton for hosting the FIFA World Cup to Qatar", Putin said.

The Croatian celebrations on returning home included an open-top bus tour from the airport, during which Vukojevic was seen celebrating with the players - despite being sacked during the tournament for his role in a controversial video in which he dedicated the team's quarter-final win over hosts Russian Federation to Ukraine. Qatar's rulers say they will rise to the challenge. The 2026 World Cup is already confirmed to be a 48-team tournament and will be hosted across the United States, Mexico and Canada. "In this type of competition, it's not the most handsome that wins, but the one who believe the most", he said.

Meanwhile, Croatia president Grabar-Kitarovic added to her ever-increasing fan base with sporting gestures during the presentation ceremony.

This will be the first World Cup held entirely in Asia since the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.
