Criticism grows after President Trump 'sides with Putin' in Helsinki

President Trump has been roundly criticized for declining to directly condemn Putin for Russian interference in the 2016 election. "President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial".

Following the press conference, Netanyahu released a statement thanking the two leaders for their commitment to Israel's security and stating that he "very much appreciates the security coordination between Israel and Russian Federation and the clear position expressed by President Putin regarding the need to uphold the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement between Israel and Syria".

Representative Steve Womack said he was "disappointed" that Trump "downplayed the very real threat Russian Federation poses to our country and our values".

After the leaders spent more than two hours in a one-on-one meeting, Trump indicated in a freewheeling press conference that - despite a consensus among the USA intelligence community - he believes Putin's denials about Russian interference in the 2016 election and declined to say he holds the nation accountable. Trump made the statement at a joint news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "At 90 percent of the nuclear power in the world between these two nations, and we've had a phony witch hunt deal it drive us apart".

Walmart reportedly considering streaming service to compete with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video
Amazon will also be the only place to stream a new movie called Zoe starring Ewan McGregor which will be released July 20. No details regarding the type of movies or shows that will be available have been released.

Gladysh says he wasn't surprised Trump didn't use the summit to call out Putin for meddling with the U.S elections. Trump was widely panned by people on both sides for treating Putin gently and questioning American intelligence agencies' assessments that the Russians tried to meddle in the 2016 elections. "Instead, Trump - standing alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin - touted Putin's vigorous denial and pivoted to complaining about the Democratic National Committee's server and missing emails from Hillary Clinton's personal account". "But our cooperation between the two countries has the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives", said Trump.

However, before the summit began, Mr Trump blamed his own country for the deterioration in relations.

Trump has repeatedly branded the Mueller probe a "witch hunt".

During the interview on Fox News, Putin also invoked the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. when he was asked about the deaths of his own political opponents.
